Phoenix is the workshop where you can find the answers and get support. It's an opportunity for gay and bisexual men who have been diagnosed HIV-positive in the past two years or so to learn more about living with HIV. Meet other recently diagnosed men and share your experiences in a safe and supportive environment. Learn strategies for managing and making sense of HIV. Explore the issues around disclosure, negotiating sex and relationships. Find out how to maintain your sexual health. Find out the services and agencies available. Make plans for the Future. Connected
The workshop is designed for friends, partners and family members of those living with HIV and is a joint initiative of People Living with HIV/AIDS Victoria and the Victorian AIDS Council/Gay Men’s Health Centre.
The Connected workshop aims to provide a supportive environment for participants to receive information and ask questions about living with HIV. It is hoped that the information gained during the day will help participants to better support those in their lives who are HIV positive.
Information sessions will include topics such as HIV transmission, anti-retroviral medication, disclosure and stigma, the available support services and how to create an environment of open communication.

Quit
This is a 4 week course for all people with HIV who wish to stop smoking. The course covers: Understanding Smoking; Planning to Quit; Health Effects; Quitting Methods; Coping without Cigarettes; Staying Stopped; Enjoying being a Non-Smoker Forever.

Treatment Interactive Events
Treatment Interactive Events provide relevant current information to HIV positive people on a range of medical, social and psychological issues that impact on their lives. Events are held three times a year and consist of a panel of health professionals to discuss and present information on living well with HIV. The events take place within a cafe/restaurant atmosphere on an evening/weekend, and provide a social peer support environment where the latest in treatment and health information is imparted in an informal, entertaining and educational format. The events are an exemplary model for providing education within a safe and social environment. Free entry, refreshments and door prizes. For further information contact PLWHA Victoria.
Planet Positive
Planet Positive is a social event run four times a year, for HIV positive members and their friends. It aims to facilitate the social networks of PLHIV to improve their emotional and social well being in an enjoyable and safe environment. Planet Positive is held every two months at various locations throughout Melbourne. Check your local newspaper and Poslink for the next date and location. Free entry, refreshments and door prizes.
